North Wales has something for everyone, with popular seaside resorts, countryside walking routes and scenic hillside vistas all within an hours driving range of our farmhouse accommodation.
Our farmhouse is situated in the seaside town of Colwyn Bay, less than 4 miles away from its famous beach and recently renovated promenade which has been transformed into perhaps the most modern seafronts in the country. Here you will find plenty of activities for children including climbing apparatus, hopscotch courses and interactive educational equipment.
If building sandcastles and sunbathing isn’t your cup of tea, then you might prefer to head to Snowdon and attempt to climb to the summit of the highest mountain in the country. There are six different walking routes to choose from if you are to take on this challenge, all of which vary in terms of difficulty. The easiest and most popular of these walking routes is the Llanberis Path which covers a total distance of 9 miles (there and back). Dogs are welcome to join you on the adventure, ensuring that it is something that the whole family can complete together.
Those who prefer adrenaline fuelled adventures may instead prefer to head to one of the Zip World resorts in the region. The original Penrhyn Quarry resort remains the most famous on account of it being home to the fastest zip line in the world with participants reaching speeds of up to 100mph. Other rides here include the Aero Explorer zipline roller course and thrilling downhill quarry karts.
If the weather isn’t on your side, then there are still plenty of all-weather attractions to take advantage of. This includes Zip World’s Llechwedd venue where the majority of activities take place underground in the caverns of the now disused Llechwedd quarry. Here you’ll find a fun trampoline course and the world’s first underground crazy golf course.
Our Farmhouse accommodation at Bryn Defaid Holiday Park is perfectly located to enable guests to make the most of these many visitor attractions. Sleeping up to six guests in three comfortable bedrooms, the Farmhouse is the perfect family accommodation.
You’ll have everything you need for self catering with a modern kitchen area complete with an oven, electric hob, fridge freezer, toaster kettle and much more. There are even cooking facilities on the outdoor patio area where you’ll have your own BBQ and pizza oven.
